Walt began his career at Smith Barney supporting trading floor technology and managing the relationship with Smith Barney’s largest data vendors. He was quickly recruited onto the foreign equity trading desk where he managed the risk of trading with institutional customers.
His interest in Latin America compelled him to join a Mexican bank where he eventually rose to lead the international sales effort. By 2009 the bank had grown to be one of the largest Mexican institutions catering to international customers.
Walt brings a deep well of knowledge in global investing to our clients. Having navigated currency devaluations, sovereign debt defaults, commodity cycles, and many different interest rate and inflation cycles, his experiences provide a seasoned outlook on the current market and the implications for investors.
Walt lives on the Upper West Side of Manhattan with his wife, Nancy.
